OUR TEAM

Marco Olvera and his wife, Emily, are proud Abilene natives. They’re living their lifelong dream, raising their four children right here in the community they’ve always called home.
Before becoming a home builder, Marco spent over 11 years at Lowe’s as the Plumbing and Install Sales Manager. He quickly became the go-to guy for all things home installs, plumbing, and appliances. During his time there, he also managed and designed both interior and exterior home projects, building a strong foundation in home design and construction.
Marco further expanded his knowledge at Hardin-Simmons University, where he studied business finance and management giving him the tools to blend creativity with smart project planning.
Today, Marco brings that experience as founder of
Key City Homes, where he combines his eye for detail and passion for craftsmanship to create dream homes for families across Abilene. Marco also serves on the Board of Directors for the Big Country Homes Builders Association, helping support and guide the growth of the local home building community he deeply cares about.
Jay Tindol is proud to call Abilene home. He and his wife, Ashley, both grew up here and have loved watching their hometown grow and evolve over the years.
After graduating from Hardin-Simmons University, Jay spent several years teaching science and coaching at Wylie High School. During that time, he started doing small renovation projects on the side and quickly discovered a new passion for home building.
What began as a side project soon became his full-time calling. Jay founded Key City Homes with a simple goal: to build beautiful, high quality homes for Abilene families.
He believes in the importance of strong neighborhoods and thoughtful design that reflects the character of the community. For Jay, building homes isn’t just a job, it’s a way to help make Abilene an even better place to live, one home at a time.
